UROCK ONLINE

Throughout lockdown UROCK Youth theatre, a company of 10 young people aged 14-18 from across Peterborough, Corby and Cambridge, have created weekly films using their mobile phones to record their daily lives under lockdown. They joined a national project The Coronavirus Time Capsule, by Company Three, to create the videos giving an insight into young peoples’ experience of lockdown. A total of 12 films were produced with the support of NNF Bridge & PHACE.

UROCK Associate members

UROCK Associates is an artist development program for school leavers, graduates and emerging artists with an affiliation to the city of Peterborough. There is a membership fee payable Sept 2018 of £15.00 for the whole year. As a UROCK Associate you will be entitled to:

  • Sat morning workshops with Company come along anytime you are available, just turn up.
  • A personal reference upon request to me for your future.
  • Free tickets to UROCK Productions
  • An invitation to join UROCK on any residential opportunity we create, like Norwich or Northampton, [so long as you pay your way!]
  • Invitations to work on free initiatives across the city being delivered to young people of all ages.

    UROCKERS Theatre for young people 9+

    UROCKERS is a weekly drama/theatre class for young people aged 9+, running on Friday evenings  at the Undercroft, Serpentine Green, 4.30 – 6.00pm

    In partnership with Eastern Angles Theatre Company we are keen to make sure these workshops are the very best we can deliver, so members need to be aware of the following health & safety issues when working in this theatre. It is called pop – up because it is a flexible space to encourage and develop the making of theatre at all levels from professional productions to the new class UROCKERS. Its a really exciting place to be, and the young people love it!

    Please consider the following:
    1. Please use the toilets up in the Shopping Centre before arriving for class as there is none in the theatre
    2. Please dress in warm practical clothing sensible trainers /it can be cold in this space

    UROCK Youth Company Starts Sat Sept 8th 2018

    UROCK Company works every Saturday from 10.am – 1.00pm. Termly
    It welcomes students from schools across the city and is aimed at young people 14+ The group is very committed and represents a talented and ambitious group of young artists from across the city.

    Fees are £84.00 for a term which is very competitive in price enabling young people to afford more time to practise their artistic skills.
